We went to kings camp again but this time with our hole family and our friends the Danca's.
we went there on Wednesday and stayed there until Friday afternoon. On Wednesday we got there at about 2:00-2:30 so the pond/lake was open to swim in but it closed at 5:00 so we did a lot of stuff in a small amount of time. on Thursday the morning was beautiful and then the dark clouds started rolling in and it started POURING with lightning thunder and all. a man came up in his little red car and said there is a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING until 2:30 so you must go into the Grace center for shelter. So we shoved everything in the cars (besides the tent and camper) and ran over to the grace center. and there we ate lunch and played games until almost exactly 2:30 when we went back to the camp site. we got back to the camp area and played some Frisbee and Sarah Danca came up and said "we are doing smores now cause it looks like its gonna rain again" and sure enough the black clouds came in only worse this time! a lady on a golf cart came up and said "everyone back to the grace center there is going to be another storm only this time with strong winds!" (I only got to eat two smores) so we packed up again and rushed over there leaving all the blankets and pillows in the tents. we stayed there for a couple of hours. and when it started to die down My Mom spotted a rainbow in the sky (I couldn't get a good picture of it) and a couple minutes later another rainbow appeared over the another one it was really cool! we started heading back once again to the campsite and when we got there we found our tents SOAKED! (the rain must have gotten through the rain cover) and most of the bedding soaked too! so we are like "where do we sleep now?" there were to many of us to fit in the camper and in the cars. so we remembered what the lady at the grace center said she said "if anything happens tonight fell free to slept in the grace center we will keep the doors unlocked" so all of the Danca family and J.D., Kenny, Me,Dewey slept on the hard grace center floor we had lots of blankets for comfort though so everyone slept like a rock. We woke up the next day and packed everything in the Danca's car and walked back to the campsite (again)
almost everyone was awake at the campsite so we talked awhile then ate breakfast. after breakfast we talked about what we were going to do that day and everyone was hoping and praying that the rain would not come back. The lake opened at 11:00 so we had lots of time to spare we (some of the kids) went on a walk trying to find some cows that we heard mooing. but they were blocked by barbed wire so we couldn't see them. we all went and sat in the shade and talked about christian music and then went and got our swim suits on and went down to the lake.
and there once again was the gray clouds that caused so much rain the day before we tryed to do everything possible at the lake before the rain came like the trampoline, boating and swimming and next thing we know the clouds past right over us and it was a gorgeous day with blue sky's and barley a cloud in the sky! so we ate a big lunch took our last swim and went on a nature walk. and the we left king's camp. Wow what an adventure that was! all I can say is
THANK GOODNESS FOR THE GRACE CENTER!!!!!
SOunds like a neat trip! It has been storming here too. I miss you
