My Descriptive Essay

The Tale of Amy Lily
When I told Amy that I would be writing a paper on her she thought I was literally writing one on her, so she checked her back. She can definitely be a delightful person in ways of making cards or giving hugs, but unfortunately she has a dark side. For reasons we do not understand she will shove someone down and laugh but in an instant she will be crying because the same person shoved her. My sister Amy has a delightful sense of humor, a strange and sometimes annoying personality and has numerous stories that will never grow old.
Curiously, Amy has a side to her that is strange and fun. She will randomly get an idea to play tea party or dance around the floor as if she were at a ball. Or she will make dozens of cards and cover your face with smooches. She will tag along with whoever is over and constantly be following them around telling them random things such as, “Did you know Kenny has a camera?” or “Hey, does this headband fit me?” When Amy goes outside, she will go and talk to whoever is willing to listen. Amy loves people of any age, and people love her. She adores playing stuffed animals with her closest sister, Jenna. When playing stuffed animals they sometimes can act as an alarm clock for me. I really enjoy listening to some of their games they are both very creative, when they come up with names or put on voices for certain characters. Amy is a total girlie-girl in ways of playing make-up or dress-up. When she puts make-up on by herself she will often come downstairs with a bright pink face and fingers smothered in red nail polish. Amy’s fun side can be rather annoying at times, when she will not stop standing in front of you with her lips tightly puckered up awaiting a kiss.
She also has a side that is very obnoxious when she will come up and say whatever bizarre thing’s comes to mind. She does not seem to have any volume control; her voice can be raised to a pitch that can make almost anyone cover their ears. At times, Amy feels like a shadow. For instance, I will be walking into the kitchen for water and start to back up and there is Amy standing there smiling in quite a quirky fashion. She has a certain giggle that makes her very unique, but the strange thing is that it changes from day to day. Her delightful smile and her ability to bring joy to people young and old makes her a wonderful conversation piece. She is always willing to help as long as the job is something like pushing the stroller or babysitting but when it comes to hard work she is a little hesitant. Understanding the ways of Amy is impossible. Her many mystifying characteristics make her the wonderful sister she is and if it were not for her overwhelming urges to bug Adam by shutting off the television when he is watching it or taking things from him or annoy Jenna by hiding her stuff or not picking up her shoes, she would be the person everyone wants for a friend. Amy can be described as a girl of a million questions, a loving person, and who can get on your nerves.

We can tell many stories about Amy, some disgusting and some hilarious. For example, one day my mom put Amy down for a nap, after her nap my Mom had gone to get her, and found my Lego house crumbled all over her bed, she called me up to our room and we must have figured that was all the damage she had done cause we picked up and left without a bother. But later that afternoon I looked in my fish tank and there was my once blue finned fish now totally white and belly up. He had not died a natural death. Amy told us that she took Sapphire out of his tank to nap with her, but while she was laying there staring at him she decided he needed a haircut. So she got a hold of my fancy pattern cutting scissors and gave him one. She cut off his beautiful feathery tail and fins, then put him back in his tank. There were bits of tail and fins floating around the tank. That was just one example of her zaniness when she was three. Another is how she would draw on the walls at every nap in many different colors, with nail polish and markers. That is not as funny and much more destructive. My bedroom door still has finger nail polish stains on it. Amy has been more destructive than any other kid in our family that is what makes up most of her stories, thankfully now Amy has out-grown that crazy stage.
My sister Amy has a truly odd sense of humor, can be extremely troublesome, but has stories that could be told for centuries. Amy is a wonderful sister and friend. I have great hope that she will fulfill her dreams of being a doctor (although she is petrified of blood), a mommy, and a person who grows flowers when she grows up. So if you have a younger sibling that drives you up the wall, do not fear; people change a lot in two years. Amy is now five and has thankfully stopped drawing on the walls.
